Welcome To The World…Sarnia Style!

I am so in love with this new thing at Bluewater Health.

It started this week! Every time a baby is born at Bluewater Health, a five-second recording of  Brahms’ Lullaby will be played over the hospital intercom system.  How cute is that? What a way to say welcome to the world.

I wish they had this when my 3 babes were born there; as much as I love this, I have no desire to be back in Labor & Delivery having baby number 4 just to hear it played for one of my babies. I’m a little old for that, but I will listen for the sweet chimes next time I’m there!

FYI…The stork brings about 1100 babies each year to Bluewater Health and is also piped through the intercom of other area hospitals like Chatham-Kent and Windsor. As for Brahms’ Lullaby, Johannes Brahms dedicated this song to a friend on the birth of her second son.
