I spend a lot of time watching cooking shows, videos and thinking about what I am going to cook next.
So I thought I would share some of the recipe’s I have been trying with you!
I made Shawarma Stuffed Peppers and they were yummy!!

I didn’t follow the recipe exactly…I didn’t have all of the spices but added some others I had on hand instead. I did pick up fresh Mint and Parsley and it really made the dish.
I also did not make the Dairy Based Sauce – I made a Tahini Based Sauce (Tahini, lemon juice, garlic, fresh mint/parsley, a little water and Olive Oil blended up together)
Finally I also did not have fresh tomatoes but did have the Classic Shawarma addition PICKLED TURNIPS and some hot pepper rings that I served it along with and some pomegranate pips for some pop!
Oh and one last tip, the recipe calls for you to precook the peppers for 12 min before stuffing them… I will skip this step next time, the peppers were a little mushy for our liking!
You could take the idea for this recipe and stuff those peppers any way you wish…ground hamburger with cheese and onions and pickles on top, Italian meatball with red sauce…the possibilities are endless!
