The View From Here – One Of Those Days

April 7, 2022 2:25 pm Published by

Ever have “one of those days”?  You know the kind where everything goes wrong, feels wrong, and it feels never ending?  The kind of day where, one someone asks “How are you?”  your first and only response is “it’s just one of those days!”

That’s my day.  I think of the Shania Twain song “the car won’t start, it’s falling apart

So please.  Tell me something good.  Tell me how you make it through “one of those days”.  Because I could use it.

Our puppy is going through the terrible two’s.  Or “something”.   Maybe she is just having “one of those days” too.  (smile)

There’s something wrong with the washing machine.

The floors are constantly dirty from said puppy and all the mud of the spring season being tracked endlessly through our house.

Bad hair day. My hair has a mind of it’s own today but I will remember the self-inflicted hair cut I gave myself in sixth grade and stay away from the scissors until the moment passes.

Bad clothing day.   Nothing fits.  Probably because I ate half a cake last night while watching The Young and the Restless – which is REALLY GOOD right now!

The new shoes I bought to replace the ones my puppy chewed don’t fit.  I guess I bought WIDE which I guess isn’t what my feet need today because they keep slipping off.

And the day isn’t over yet.  (smile)

So what do you do when you have one of those days?  I tried taking my dog for a walk this morning and we’re still in the training stages so after a few minutes of not so good behavior, I left her at home and went for a walk myself.  To clear my head, and maybe even shed a few tears in the feeling of overwhelm.  Which happens sometimes, right?

I think this pandemic keeps taking it’s toll.  It feels like we’re at the end, but there’s still some uncertainty, and a feeling of awkwardness when it comes to getting back to things we once used to do so easily.  Maybe that’s just me.  (smile)

At least we know that when we have “one of those days” it’s usually only temporary.  Here’s to better days ahead if you too are having one of those days.
