Don’t judge. It’s DELICIOUS! Next time I’ll remember to ask for ketchup.

I found a little spot away from the busier side of the area and just enjoyed the warmth of the day. The boats and sea-do’s that went by.

Odd to watch the traffic on the bridge. Only a few transport trucks passing over. A reminder of the time we’re in.

======================================================================

I tried watching for this comet we are supposed to be able to see, moving just under the Big Dipper constellation. I didn’t see a comet. I apologize to neighbours who may have wondered what the girl in her pj’s was doing creeping outside late last night. I wasn’t spying, I swear! (smile). I don’t know if it’s an age thing or what, but my body heats up like a furnace at night and I can’t sleep to save my life. My kids laugh at me, and my odd body temperatures. If I was going to be awake, may as well try to see something cool in the night skies.

Maybe no comet, but I did however make time to sit and watch as the fireflies played in my backyard. I don’t remember the last time I paid attention to the small things. Like star gazing and watching the fireflies dance around my backyard. There was a mouse that made an appearance in the garden too. That’s when I knew it was time to go back INSIDE. (smile)

=======================================================================

As hard as pandemic living has been, I sure do appreciate the quality time I’ve been able to enjoy at home. Yep, there are days I don’t think I can stare at the same walls in my house one more day, and other days, I sit in gratitude, because I’ve been able to be at home through it all.

I’ve been able to be with my kids, and my husband. I’ve been able to sit and relax, where once it was busy and rushed.

I’m able to notice and appreciate the small things that much more, and I’m so grateful.

And now we move into Stage 3 as of Friday morning 12:01 am. I’m excited, but hesitant.

I think this is going to take a long time for us to recover from in so many ways.

I know that the times I go out now – it feels more comfortable. Even though in the back of my mind, I’m still wondering if I should be out at all.

I learned something from my youngest daughter this weekend. When someone compliments you on your “fit” they aren’t (as you’d hoped) referring to those newly developed muscles from your latest workout program, but in fact what you’re wearing.
