The 2020 Emmy nominations<\/a> have been announced.\u00a0\u00a0Netflix broke the record for most nominations in a single year, scoring 160 in total, while the most-nominated series was HBO’s ‘Watchmen,’ with 26 in all. One of my all time faves “Schitt’s Creek” got a bunch of nominations as well.\u00a0 I’m very excited.\u00a0 Such a great show.\u00a0 And it’s Canadian, eh!\u00a0 Dan Levy is absolutely brilliant.<\/p>\n

It will be the first Hollywood awards show\u00a0 pandemic.\u00a0 How that looks isn\u2019t known.<\/p>\n

Jimmy Kimmel, in a statement said \u201cI don\u2019t know where we will do this or how we will do this or even why we are doing this, but we are doing it and I am hosting it,\u201d<\/p>\n

The most-nominated series was HBO’s\u00a0Watchmen<\/em>, with 26 in all, followed by Amazon’s\u00a0The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel\u00a0<\/em>with 20. Netflix’s\u00a0Ozark<\/em>\u00a0and HBO’s\u00a0Succession<\/em>\u00a0each scored 18, while Disney+’s\u00a0The Mandalorian,\u00a0<\/em>NBC’s\u00a0Saturday Night Live\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<\/em>Pop TV’s\u00a0Schitt’s Creek\u00a0<\/em>each earned 15 noms.<\/p>\n

The Mandalorian,<\/em>\u00a0Ozark<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Succession<\/em>\u00a0will complete for best drama series with AMC’s\u00a0Better Call Saul,<\/em>\u00a0Neflix’s\u00a0The Crown,<\/em>\u00a0Hulu’s\u00a0The Handmaid’s Tale,\u00a0<\/em>BBC Amerca’s\u00a0Killing Eve<\/em>\u00a0and Netflix’s\u00a0Stranger Things.<\/em><\/p>\n

In additional to\u00a0Maisel<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Schitt’s Creek,\u00a0<\/em>shows vying for best comedy are HBO’s\u00a0Curb Your Enthusiasm,<\/em>\u00a0Neflix’s\u00a0Dead to Me,\u00a0<\/em>NBC’s\u00a0The Good Place,\u00a0<\/em>HBO’s\u00a0Insecure<\/em>, Netflix’s\u00a0The Kominsky Method\u00a0<\/em>and FX’s\u00a0What We Do in the Shadows.<\/em><\/p>\n

Watchmen<\/em>\u00a0is up for best limited series along with Hulu’s\u00a0Little Fires Everywhere,<\/em>\u00a0FX on Hulu’s\u00a0Mrs. America<\/em>\u00a0and Netflix’s\u00a0Unbelievable\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Unorthodox.<\/em><\/p>\n
