<\/p>\nI don’t know about you guys – but I’m feeling kinda “done”.\u00a0 Throw my hands up in the air, “I surrender”, kinda done.<\/p>\n
It’s been a long road, and even though we can do more, and go out more, and be around more people – social bubbles, increased gathering numbers etc – it still feels like we have a long way to go.<\/p>\n
Every week feels like it has brought new challenges.\u00a0\u00a0We’ve had to adjust and change to so many different things.\u00a0\u00a0It’s been HARD on all of us and I think we are all feeling tired.<\/p>\n
I consider myself a positive person, but this has been hard.\u00a0 I’m lucky.\u00a0 So lucky.\u00a0 I’m healthy, my family is healthy.\u00a0 \u00a0I’m still working – even if it’s been from home.\u00a0 I really have NOTHING to complain about.<\/p>\n
But I’m starting to really FEEL that this pandemic has taken it’s toll on my mental health and emotional health too and I’m not afraid to say “I don’t feel okay”.\u00a0 At least not today.\u00a0 In this moment.<\/p>\n
I know there are families grieving the loss of a loved one.\u00a0 My heart breaks for you.\u00a0 There is no greater pain.<\/p>\n
I know there are people dealing with loss of a job or a business.\u00a0 \u00a0I am so sorry – I know it feels impossible to recover.<\/p>\n
I think everyone is hurting on some level right now.\u00a0 We’re all feeling it.\u00a0 We’re exhausted from trying to keep it together.\u00a0 Work at home, take care of our kids, find ways to stay connected even when we’re apart.\u00a0 Same space. Same people.<\/p>\n
I’m worried that I’m starting to like being away from people.\u00a0\u00a0I worry I won’t want to go back in the world.\u00a0 Us shy people have a hard time as it is.\u00a0 All this time locked away from the world has made it really easy for me to get comfortable being the shy girl again.\u00a0 And honestly, some people aren’t being the kindest, most loving people online.\u00a0 We are seeing a lot of ugliness on social media, and it’s discouraging.\u00a0 Doesn’t make me want to hurry back into the world.<\/p>\n
I wonder if we will ever feel the same as we did before Covid-19.\u00a0 Will we ever go back to feeling comfortable in a public space?\u00a0 Or will that six feet apart, wash your hands – constantly be in our heads, reminding us of the virus that has the ability to destroy so many lives.<\/p>\n
I guess we continue to take it day by day.\u00a0 Do what we can.\u00a0 \u00a0And we will get through.\u00a0 Just know that if you’re not always having a good day, you aren’t alone.<\/p>\n
