Back in studio today and I am a nervous wreck.\u00a0 I’ve got butterflies.\u00a0 \u00a0I feel awkward and uncomfortable and unsure of what I’m doing.\u00a0 Seriously.\u00a0 Which is so strange considering\u00a0I’ve worked in radio for nearly 30 years.\u00a0 I’ve worked at a number of different stations, different dayparts, and I’ve used different boards and equipment.<\/p>\n
I got used to working at home with our remote equipment.\u00a0 I got to used to the noises around me.\u00a0 The kids at home.\u00a0 The cat that would come in every afternoon at three for a cuddle.<\/p>\n
I got used to my make shift work space.<\/p>\n
Being back in studio feels unfamiliar.<\/p>\n
I am out of routine.\u00a0 The sound is different.\u00a0 The building is quiet.\u00a0 Not like it used to be.\u00a0 So many people are still working from home.<\/p>\n
