I’m not sure what’s worse.\u00a0 The feeling you get after eating way too much candy, or the fact that the calendar flipped and now it’s “Mariah Carey Season” and people are already playing holiday music and putting up trees, or that I just really messed up my bangs.<\/p>\n
I mean, I REALLY<\/em> messed them up.\u00a0 I cut them a few weeks ago.\u00a0 Very spontaneously.\u00a0 After I coloured up the grey.\u00a0 With not-so-sharp scissors.\u00a0 This morning I tried to “fix” them.\u00a0 Which means I will be finding a way to hide them until I can have them fixed. By a professional.\u00a0 Have you ever messed up your hair?\u00a0 Thankfully I am still working from home and nobody has to see me.\u00a0 That’s the beauty of radio.\u00a0 (smile)<\/p>\n I’m wondering if there is a 7-year bad luck rule with breaking your hair like breaking a mirror?\u00a0 (smile).\u00a0 \u00a0You know, “break a mirror, seven years bad luck.”\u00a0 Do you think the same premise applies to hair?\u00a0 Because seriously, I BROKE my bangs.\u00a0 (smile)<\/p>\n Thankfully there’s a full bucket of Halloween candy left for me to drown my sorrows.\u00a0 \u00a0Not a lot of kids at our house this year for trick-or-treating.\u00a0 We had 7 in two hours.\u00a0 Then I stopped waiting.\u00a0 Turned out the lights and ate all the candy.\u00a0 Not all.\u00a0 But more than I needed.<\/p>\n We toured Sarnia’ first Haunted Halloween tour on Friday night.\u00a0 That was a lot of fun.\u00a0 Kinda.\u00a0 I mean, it was great to see all the houses.\u00a0 Over 80?\u00a0 I believe.\u00a0 I loved the feeling of community coming together.\u00a0 Car after car driving by the same houses, all seeing the sites together.\u00a0 A feeling of togetherness, even in a pandemic that has us feeling far apart.\u00a0 Even my 14-year-old said she loved the feeling of doing something with others.<\/p>\n A few houses went above and beyond with the scares.\u00a0 I didn’t see Michael Myers.\u00a0 Thank the good Lord above.\u00a0 (smile)\u00a0 #sorrynotsorry<\/p>\n My heart couldn’t handle it.\u00a0 Everything was under suspicion.\u00a0 \u00a0Every shadow had me jumpy.\u00a0 \u00a0A few places had some scares.\u00a0 People coming out from the decorations.\u00a0 \u00a0Someone standing still on their porch.\u00a0 Mask.\u00a0 Knife.\u00a0 \u00a0“NO thank you.”\u00a0 Is what I kept saying out loud to my kids in the car as we kept driving.<\/p>\n Excited to see a Christmas lights tour has begun.\u00a0 Click to join<\/a> and add your house to list.\u00a0 One of my favourite memories of Christmas when I was a kid was driving around to look at the lights.\u00a0 I still do it with my kids.<\/p>\n We need to have something positive to look forward to.<\/p>\n
