This weekend, as planned, we got our tree!\u00a0 Which wasn’t easy.\u00a0 Trees are hard to find right now.<\/a>\u00a0 It seems in this pandemic world, people are looking for something to bring them joy, and with more and more people having to give up holiday travel, we’re putting up trees and lights to make up for it.<\/p>\n

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the lights up all over this area.\u00a0 It’s amazing and brings such a smile to my face and so many others.\u00a0 For those who put up lights, clearing store shelves, THANK YOU.<\/p>\n

We need it.\u00a0 It’s been a really tough year.\u00a0 We need Christmas right now.<\/p>\n

We need lights and decorations, and toy trains.<\/p>\n

We need something to look forward to and smile about.<\/p>\n

I was hoping to go cut down our tree this year.\u00a0 In the end it was just easier to drive to the grocery store and pick out one of the four trees that were left.\u00a0\u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

It was a pretty small tree.\u00a0 I was feeling the spirit of Charlie Brown as my husband threw it in the car to bring it home.\u00a0 I jokingly said “If it was any smaller it would be a house plant.”<\/em><\/p>\n

But just like the Peanuts gang did for Charlie Brown in the classic Christmas movie, we strung the lights, and added the decorations and before you knew it – it was beautiful.\u00a0 And it was ours.\u00a0 Maybe it just needed a little love. (smile)<\/p>\n
