Pharmacy.\u00a0 And maybe a walk in the fresh air.<\/p>\nAnybody else feel like the wind just got knocked out of you?\u00a0 Me too.\u00a0 This sits heavy.\u00a0 There are days it just hits you harder than others.\u00a0 This is one of them.\u00a0It’s been a tough few days actually.\u00a0 I don’t know about you, but my anxiety is creeping up.\u00a0 I’ve had two nights of tossing and turning, unable to sleep, worried about those rising numbers.\u00a0 It seems our circle is getting smaller.\u00a0 More and more people we know are dealing with this virus.<\/p>\n
Online learning has been a challenge in our house.\u00a0 \u00a0My kids sleep schedules are all over the place and I’m not doing anything to fix it.\u00a0 They miss their friends. My youngest misses leaving the house to go to school.\u00a0 Truth be told, I would have loved the chance to take gym class at home when I was in high school.\u00a0 I still have nightmares.\u00a0 (smile)<\/p>\n
It’s an adjustment for all of us in different ways.\u00a0 I miss having conversations with people outside of my house.\u00a0 I went for an eye appointment last week and it was like a therapy session.\u00a0 I just kept sharing and asking questions and making all kinds of small talk.\u00a0 It was so nice to have another person to talk to.\u00a0 Even if separated by plexiglass and face masks.<\/p>\n
Days like today are harder than others.\u00a0 It’s hard to sit behind my desk and play music and put a smile on my face when I want to cry for all that we’re losing.\u00a0 Again. Still.<\/p>\n
We’re like small children getting in trouble by our parents.\u00a0 Grounded for bad behavior.<\/p>\n
I threw on an old “Little House on the Prairie” DVD last night and escaped the world for an hour with a few episodes.\u00a0 \u00a0Caught up in life in Walnut Grove with the Ingalls family.\u00a0 Simpler times for sure.\u00a0 \u00a0Community was there for each other in times of need.\u00a0 That’s the stuff we need to remember.\u00a0 \u00a0That we are stronger together.\u00a0 Helping each other through the hard times.<\/p>\n
This is going to be even harder this time around because we’re still hurting from the first round.\u00a0 I’m going to hide my scissors now so I don’t do something drastic with my hair.\u00a0 Not even kidding.\u00a0 And I’ll pull out my picture from grade five when I gave myself a hair cut.\u00a0 That should scare me enough to lay off and don’t touch it.\u00a0 I hope.\u00a0 (smile)<\/p>\n
