Oh my gosh, I used to love reading my daily horoscope.\u00a0 I loved learning about my “sign” and what it meant.\u00a0 Everyone around me, I tried to see if we were a good match or not.<\/p>\n
Eventually I started writing “horror-scopes” in high school for the school paper.\u00a0 Totally making up people’s fortunes for fun.\u00a0 \u00a0Careful if you crossed my path in a bad way.\u00a0 Your horror-scope wasn’t going to be a good one.\u00a0 (smile)<\/p>\n
I’m a Libra.\u00a0 For the most part I think it’s pretty darn accurate.\u00a0 All about balance.\u00a0 Hates confrontation.\u00a0 Can’t make a decision.\u00a0 Likely to have a career in the arts.\u00a0 Pretty much.<\/p>\n

According to the Chinese Zodiac I’m a Pig.\u00a0 \u00a0Energetic and enthusiastic.\u00a0 \u00a0Love entertainment. A bit materialistic. And always late.<\/p>\n
The Pig is the twelfth of all zodiac animals. According to one myth, the Jade Emperor said the order would be decided by the order in which they arrived to his party. Pig was late because he overslept. Another story says that a wolf destroyed his house. He had to rebuild his home before he could set off. When he arrived, he was the last one and could only take twelfth place.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Today we are celebrating Chinese New Year<\/a>, or Lunar New Year or Spring Festival.\u00a0\u00a0The Year of the Ox<\/a>.<\/p>\n
The Chinese zodiac, or Sheng Xiao (\u751f\u8096), is a repeating 12-year cycle of animal signs and their given attributes, based on the lunar calendar.<\/p>\n
In order, the zodiac animals are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
The Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival, marks the transition from one animal to the next\u20142020 is the year of the Rat, which began on January 15th, 2020, and ends on February 11th, 2021. February 12th, 2021 (Chinese New Year) will signal the start of the year of the Ox.<\/p>\n
