Why am I thinking of the Poltergeist movie when I say those words “I’m back”.\u00a0 \u00a0I am a little scary, but that might not be the image I’m trying to project. (smile)<\/p>\n

A week of vacation has me back to work feeling refreshed and rejuvenated and very distracted.\u00a0 Just being truthful.\u00a0 It was a great week.\u00a0 A combination of doing nothing and staying busy.\u00a0 It’s HARD to come back to work after a week of relaxation.<\/p>\n

You don’t have to leave Sarnia-Lambton to have a really great vacation.\u00a0 We really do have a lot to see and do without travelling far.\u00a0 Which is good, because with the price of gas right now, who can afford to go far?\u00a0 Seriously.\u00a0 I spent a small fortune just driving around Lambton County.<\/p>\n

When is the last time you walked along the waterfront?\u00a0 Centennial Park is so beautiful right now with the gardens in full bloom.\u00a0 Hats off to all the city crew who take care of those gardens.\u00a0 Absolutely beautiful and a great way to get in those steps.\u00a0 (smile)<\/p>\n

We ventured to Rock Glen Conservation Area.\u00a0 \"\"Such a beautiful spot.\u00a0 We packed a lunch.\u00a0 I forgot the sandwiches at home.\u00a0 (smile).\u00a0 \u00a0Lots of walking, lots of steps, but no matter how many times you visit, it’s absolutely beautiful to see the falls.<\/p>\n

Something I’ve never experienced in all the visits I’ve made – dragonflies.\u00a0 They were EVERYWHERE around the falls.\u00a0 \u00a0The most beautiful coloured dragonflies.\u00a0 Dark wings and neon bodies.\u00a0 Flying around us, some landing on us.\u00a0 Some say dragonflies are a sign from heaven.\u00a0 Loved ones saying hello.\u00a0 \u00a0There were a lot of loved ones hanging around the falls area this week.\u00a0 It was a bit amazing and creepy at the same time.\u00a0 I love the idea of a sign from heaven, but they are still flying insects. (smile)<\/p>\n

We hit Gramma’s Candy Store in Petrolia.\u00a0 \u00a0You don’t have to be a kid to appreciate this place.\u00a0 Everywhere you look is something to get excited about.\u00a0 Slush Puppies to Fun-Dip.\u00a0 Laffy Taffy.\u00a0 Popeye Candy Cigarettes.\u00a0 Garbage pail candy.\u00a0 An amazing little store.<\/p>\n

\"\"We visited Miracle Max’s Minions.\u00a0 The sunflower field just outside of Forest, ON.\u00a0 One of many sunflower fields this year.\u00a0 \u00a0It never disappoints.<\/p>\n

We had a beach day at Ipperwash Beach.\u00a0 The water was warm, the skies were blue and the sand sure felt\"\"<\/p>\n

good between my toes.<\/p>\n

It felt good to be out and have places to go and things to do.<\/p>\n

And we wrapped up the week with dinner out.\u00a0 INSIDE a restaurant.\u00a0 At a table, with a menu in my hand.\u00a0 McCarthy’s – your chicken sandwich is delicious.\u00a0 And thanks to our waitress who made our visit worth it.<\/p>\n

A great week and we never left Lambton County.\u00a0 The best.<\/p>\n
