Did you know Ellen Pompeo has a podcast<\/a>?\u00a0 Because I didn’t.\u00a0 Until today.\u00a0 Until about an hour ago.<\/p>\n

And I’m a bit giddy because her very first podcast is with McDreamy.\u00a0 Ok, ok – he IS a real person and has a REAL name, and it’s not REALLY Derek Shepherd like we got used to for so many seasons of Grey’s Anatomy.\u00a0 But still.\u00a0 \u00a0In my heart he will always be McDreamy, and to be honest, I’m still getting over losing him on the show.\u00a0 It took me a long time to get over that and start watching it again.\u00a0 And I love Meredith Gray.\u00a0 She was “my person”.\u00a0 If you can have a person through a tv screen.<\/p>\n

Funny how easily we get attached to characters.<\/p>\n

Back to the podcast with McDreamy.<\/p>\n

Ellen Pompeo just launched her first podcast in hopes of bringing people together.\u00a0 In a world that feels so divided, she is hoping she can use her voice for good.\u00a0 To quote McDreamy “it’s a good day to save lives”<\/p>\n

Too far?\u00a0 (smile)\u00a0 Sorry, but I couldn’t resist.\u00a0 My daughter and I have been re-watching the series from the first episode.<\/p>\n

In this first episode, Ellen sits down with her famous co-star, Patrick Dempsey and shares what it was like to work with him, and an interesting fact about their relationship.\u00a0 Did you know they used to be neighbours?\u00a0 Before the show?<\/p>\n

What you can expect from her podcast – a sit down with different guests from all areas of life – attorneys, authors, creators and doctors (real docs and I guess a fave tv one – smile).\u00a0 Sitting down, and having a conversation talking about all kinds of things.<\/p>\n

In this first episode she talks about all kinds of things, including how people cross our paths, or are put “in our orbit” for a reason.\u00a0 \u00a0“Some people are meant to be in your orbit for a minute to teach you things, and then they get out of your orbit \u2014 and you don\u2019t ever want them in your orbit again.\u201d<\/p>\n

She talks about the “musical” episode, and what it felt like to take orders or NOT take orders from Denzel Washington when he directed one episode.<\/p>\n

It’s so good.\u00a0 But then again, anytime Derek and Meredith are together it’s good.<\/p>\n
