It’s true isn’t it.\u00a0 Really easy to NOT be afraid during the day when you can see everything.\u00a0 But at night, when you’re alone, in the dark, your mind plays tricks.\u00a0 Every noise is a concern.\u00a0 Too many scary movies.\u00a0 Our minds make things up easily.\u00a0 Especially this time of year.<\/p>\n
I’m the one who jumps at a leaf blowing on the sidewalk and feel ridiculous after.\u00a0 I used to love to be scared.\u00a0 Not so much anymore.\u00a0 I have piles of laundry and credit card bills for that (smile).<\/p>\n
Do you believe in ghosts?\u00a0 Have you had a ghost story encounter?\u00a0 Have you had something happen you couldn’t explain?<\/p>\n
We have a hall light in our house that comes on randomly by itself.\u00a0 During the day, the middle of the night.\u00a0 No explanation.\u00a0 I’d like to say I’ve gotten used to it, but my mind always wonders.<\/p>\n
I once visited the Angel Store that we had in Sarnia.\u00a0 Many, many years ago.\u00a0 I shared my story of losing my family.\u00a0 It was just before Christmas and I had been shopping for family when I found my way into the store.\u00a0 I shared my story and connected with one of the staff members, bonding over our grief.\u00a0 When I got back to my house, my sister’s name was written on the bathroom mirror in the fake snow I had decorated pretty much every surface in my home with at the time.\u00a0 It feels weird even sharing that with you, but I will never forget seeing her name in the fake snow, knowing there was nobody else in the house at the time.\u00a0\u00a0Wish I had of taken a picture of it now.\u00a0 I will never ever forget it.<\/p>\n
My oldest daughter swears she hears footsteps in our house, mostly when nobody else is home.<\/p>\n
Did you know there’s a name given to those who are afraid of ghosts?\u00a0 Phasmophobia.<\/a>\u00a0 It’s true.<\/p>\n I think I can accept that ghosts are real.\u00a0 But I don’t want to know any personally.\u00a0 I don’t want them in my bubble.<\/p>\n For those that love a good haunting, and things that go bump in the night – Sarnia has a lot of options.<\/p>\n Sarnia’s Haunted Halloween Tour is back for another year –\u00a0 Celebration of Frights<\/a> is a group on Facebook that maps out where all the best haunts are.<\/p>\n And of course there’s always Reapers Realm<\/a>.\u00a0 \u00a0The stuff that nightmares of made of.<\/p>\n Go.
