Just checking in to see how you were doing.\u00a0 Hanging in there?\u00a0 Excited about restrictions easing?\u00a0 Fearful?\u00a0 Hesitant?\u00a0 Yep.\u00a0 Me too.\u00a0 All of it.<\/p>\n
Our family is on the mend after dealing with covid these last few weeks.\u00a0 \u00a0I have a cough that lingers, a general heaviness in the chest, and occasional dizziness.\u00a0 But we’re getting over it.\u00a0 Thank the Lord.\u00a0 \u00a0Thankful I never lost my taste.\u00a0 I love food way too much for that.\u00a0 We used the air fryer setting in our oven to make chicken wings this weekend for the big football game, and I felt like a kid at Christmas.\u00a0 Playing with my new toys.\u00a0 Excited with the results.<\/p>\n
Buckle up.\u00a0 Fasten your seatbelts.\u00a0 Hold onto your horses.\u00a0 Insert whatever phrase\/saying you prefer – we’re in for some messy weather the next 48 hours.\u00a0 \u00a0Rain moves in tonight, followed by ice pellets mixed with snow and then snow.\u00a0 Lots of it.\u00a0 So tired of winter weather.\u00a0 And heavy jackets.\u00a0 And the endless stream of salt that comes in through the house from our boots and furry friends.<\/p>\n
I took our puppy for a walk this morning.\u00a0 The winds had everything flying all over the place and she wanted to chase everything at the same time.\u00a0 She was pulling me a mile a minute in every direction trying to chase down every leaf that moved.\u00a0 \u00a0She maneuvered herself in and around my legs, tripping me over and over again.\u00a0 The leash getting tangled around us both.\u00a0 Funny for someone watching.\u00a0 Not so funny for me.\u00a0 (smile).\u00a0 \u00a0She is a busy little girl.\u00a0 \u00a0Trying to figure out what new “trick” to teach her next.\u00a0 How to stop chewing shoes and headphones is top of the list.\u00a0 And if anyone needs some pruning done, I can send her over.\u00a0 She’s become an expert at removing dead branches from plants.\u00a0 \u00a0Live ones too, but I guess you want the plant to look somewhat balanced. (smile)<\/p>\n
As I sit at my desk in my home office, I have the window open just a crack and am enjoying the mild temperatures and feeling a bit of a breeze of fresh air come into my workspace.\u00a0 It’s enough to lift the spirits just a bit, knowing that in the next 24-48 hours, we’re going to get hit with some nasty winter weather.\u00a0 Once again.<\/p>\n
It’s okay.\u00a0 Spring is coming.\u00a0 It’s getting closer every day.\u00a0 Warmer weather.\u00a0 Time outside.\u00a0 New growth and renewal.\u00a0 In so many ways.<\/p>\n
