I love the idea of connecting with loved ones who have passed.\u00a0 I think about it way too much.\u00a0 And when shows like Tyler Henry’s<\/a> come up, it starts this whole cycle over again.\u00a0 And I wish I was one of the lucky ones on the show.<\/p>\n

I’ve watched Long Island Medium.\u00a0 Mama Medium.\u00a0 I even went to a local medium once a few years ago.\u00a0 It was a fundraiser.\u00a0 I went hoping to hear from those who have passed, but also so afraid of not hearing anything I almost didn’t want to go.\u00a0 Nobody wants to get their hopes up only to be disappointed.\u00a0 You want so desperately to be REAL but so afraid it’s not.<\/p>\n

I love the idea of connecting with those we love, who we miss so desperately.\u00a0 For a message. For comfort.\u00a0 For the “one more chance, one more day” type thing.\u00a0 \u00a0To know that they really are still with us somehow, that they really do see us and know that we miss them and love them and remember them.\u00a0 To know that the final days\/ moments they weren’t in pain or hurting. To get the answers to questions we have running through our minds.<\/p>\n

I think about that stuff a lot.\u00a0 If I got one more chance to talk to my mom, brother and sister – what would it be?\u00a0 What would I want to hear from them?\u00a0 What would I want to say to them?\u00a0 Would it be enough?\u00a0 Or would that just leave me wanting more?<\/p>\n

And then there’s the part of my brain that kicks in and tells me it’s foolish, it’s nonsense, ridiculous – those people manipulate emotions, and take advantage of our grief.\u00a0 Maybe that’s true.\u00a0 But if they make us feel comfort in our sorrow for just a minute?\u00a0 Isn’t that okay?\u00a0 Because there are days that’s all I want. One more minute.\u00a0 One more conversation.\u00a0 One more chance to hear their voice, their words. To have that “sign” that says “I’m okay.\u00a0 I miss you too.\u00a0 I love you.”<\/p>\n

When I went to the medium in Sarnia I think I was the only one in the room who didn’t hear a message from someone, and I was incredibly disappointed, but at the same time I felt like I protected myself from disappointment.<\/p>\n

But if given the chance, to sit in a room with Tyler Henry or the Long Island Medium or Mama Medium KNOWING I would have something, would I?\u00a0 Even with the doubts and skepticism?\u00a0 100% I would.<\/p>\n

Because I would want to know that the last words I said to my mom about her stinky work shoes weren’t the ones that mattered.\u00a0 I would want to know what happened the day she died.\u00a0 If she knew what happened.\u00a0 Was there fear?\u00a0 Was there pain?\u00a0 So many questions.\u00a0 I would want to know if she was proud of me.\u00a0 I would want to know if she was as proud of her grandkids as I am.<\/p>\n

It’s been so long and we would have so much to catch up on.\u00a0 \u00a0One word – I think that would be enough.\u00a0 Dear Tyler, if you’re available, I’m open to the idea of reconnecting.\u00a0 That would be a dream.<\/p>\n

Yep.\u00a0 I’m up for it.\u00a0 If I could sit in a room with Tyler Henry, or Long Island Medium.\u00a0 I would.<\/p>\n
