Julian has said he would never perform his dad’s song, but on Saturday night, as part of the Global Citizen’s social media rally, Stand Up For Ukraine<\/em><\/a>, John Lennon’s son Julian performed his dad’s famous song “Imagine” for the very first time ever to\u00a0raise money for refugees from Ukraine.<\/p>\n Julian said the “unimaginable tragedy” in Ukraine moved him to respond in the “most significant way I could”.<\/p>\n \u201cI had always said that the only time I would ever consider singing \u2018Imagine\u2019 would be if it was the \u2018End of the World\u2019 \u2026 Because within this song, we\u2019re transported to a space, where love and togetherness become our reality, if but for a moment in time. The song reflects the light at the end of the tunnel that we are all hoping for.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n With help from Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme fame), Julian performs the song beautifully.\u00a0 \u00a0You know John would be proud.<\/p>\n The social media rally also featured several other celebrities, including Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Billie Eilish and Madonna. More than\u00a0$10 billion was pledged<\/a>\u00a0to help Ukraine and Ukrainians by Saturday<\/p>\n
