Sharing The Love Duranies Unite"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Anybody who knows me knows how much I love Duran Duran.\u00a0 I mean, obsessed isn&#8217;t a strong enough word.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know how I found the music, but I did.\u00a0 And from the time I was 13 I have always had Duran Duran in my life.\u00a0 Every album.\u00a0 Every poster on the wall.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-18820 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.briwebapp.net\/2022\/04\/d550284f-duran-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"379\" height=\"212\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There is just something about this group that has helped me through life.\u00a0 The ups and downs, highs and lows.\u00a0 \u00a0And now my son, 31 years old, has a love and appreciation of his own.\u00a0 (so proud!)\u00a0Always changing.\u00a0 Always staying current and trying new things with their music.\u00a0 Never boring.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m excited to see, that they are not only <em>leading<\/em> the fan vote for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (which they are one of the nominees) but are pretty much running away with the vote.\u00a0 Duranies are strong.<\/p>\n<p>I have seen them twice in my life.\u00a0 The first time was high school.\u00a0 I was incredibly disappointed when we had to leave early because of bad weather.\u00a0 \u00a0The second time was just about 10 years ago.\u00a0 So far from the stage but still there.\u00a0 The atmosphere at their shows are incredible.\u00a0 \u00a0The excitement.\u00a0 The feeling of watching them perform in an arena with so many others all just so happy to be sharing the moment together.\u00a0 Nothing like it.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve got their latest album &#8220;Future Past&#8221; on vinyl.\u00a0 And I have played it over and over and over again.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t ask me to pick a favourite.\u00a0 It&#8217;s impossible.\u00a0 Every changing.\u00a0 I know all the words to all the songs.\u00a0 Every new album brings me back to my teenage self.\u00a0 Sitting with the new album in hand, combing through the album notes, the lyric sheets.\u00a0 Lost in the music.\u00a0 Track by track.\u00a0 Absorbing it.<\/p>\n<p>A new tour this year and my young self is absolutely giddy at the idea of getting to see them live.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve got tickets in hand for the Toronto show coming up August 22 &#8211;
