Because of my horrible treatment throughout life including adulthood, I don&#8217;t have anything to do with my mother for my own mental well-being. What I did have for 10 years was a very kind, caring, and loving mother-in-law (Marilyn &#8220;Mimi&#8221; Schless). She was the mother I always wished I had. She treated me so well that I felt she was like a mother to me. She passed away from a fatal stroke in June 2020 at the age of 90 years old. I miss her dearly as do my husband (Bob) and daughter (Lauren).
