So well done.\u00a0 Spoilers ahead &#8211; so if you haven&#8217;t watched it &#8211; stop reading now.<\/p>\n<p>For the rest of us &#8211; how did you feel about last night&#8217;s episode?\u00a0 The Train.\u00a0 \u00a0I knew we were going to have to say goodbye to Rebecca.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t realize how clever it would be.\u00a0 A train ride.\u00a0 Through all her life experiences and people from her past.\u00a0 We see Randall&#8217;s birth father &#8211; William &#8211; who escorted her on her &#8220;final ride&#8221;.\u00a0 \u00a0Dr. K, the one who delivered the &#8220;big three&#8221;.\u00a0 Miguel.\u00a0 A young Rebecca.\u00a0 Beaming as she gets glimpses of her kids at different ages and stages.\u00a0 Being somehow still aware of what was going on in the real world.<\/p>\n<p>Beth&#8217;s goodbye got me good. &#8220;All these years, so many times when I was faking it, I was doing my best impression of you, Rebecca,\u201d she says. \u201cI\u2019ll take him the rest of the way, Mama. Thank you for helping me with that, complicated, incredible, beautiful boy that you raised. But I got him now.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Oh boy.\u00a0 The tears.<\/p>\n<p>The scene with Dr. K &#8211; (played by Gerald\u00a0McRaney), who delivered the twins, is the bartender. The rail car is decorated with random items that belonged to the Pearson family.\u00a0 You see a football game on TV, Jack&#8217;s coffee mugs.\u00a0 That hits hard.\u00a0 Remembering life with Jack.\u00a0 \u00a0Rebecca says she made mistakes while parenting, and Dr. K assured her everyone does. He tells her he thought she was going to die giving birth.\u00a0 \u00a0Instead \u201cYou survived just to lose a child and then a husband \u2014 and still, what thing you made of it all. What a big messy, gigantic, spectacular thing,\u201d &#8220;You\u2019re as tough as they come, Rebecca Pearson, and you, my dear, have earned a rest.\u201d\u00a0 Oh my heart.\u00a0 That&#8217;s powerful.\u00a0 We know it&#8217;s coming but we don&#8217;t want to say goodbye.\u00a0 Not ready.<\/p>\n<p>The whole family is sitting together.\u00a0 Waiting for the end.\u00a0 Reminiscing.\u00a0 Talking about all the things she did as a wife and mother.\u00a0 Words she said.\u00a0 Advice she gave.<\/p>\n<p>Waiting on Kate to arrive from London.<\/p>\n<p>Rebecca is aware that Kate isn&#8217;t there yet.\u00a0 She holds on until &#8220;Bug&#8221; shows up and tells her she loves her.\u00a0 \u00a0It&#8217;s happening.\u00a0 The end is coming.<\/p>\n<p>Randall says\u00a0\u201cI want to say the perfect thing to you, Mom, but I\u2019m not sure what that is.\u00a0 I don\u2019t even know if you can hear me, but I love you Mom. We\u2019re good now. You made us good. So, thanks for all the meals. Thank you for always making us feel loved.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wrecked.\u00a0 We are forever going to feel this show in our souls.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin tells her &#8220;I love you, Mom&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The end of the episode, Rebecca turns to William and says &#8220;This is quite sad, isn&#8217;t it? The end?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To which he replies,\u00a0\u00a0\u201cThe way I see it, if something makes you sad when it ends, it must have been pretty wonderful while it was happening,\u201d<\/p>\n<p>How true.\u00a0 \u00a0That&#8217;s how we all feel now about this show which took us on this incredible journey over six seasons.<\/p>\n<p>And we got to see her reunite with her beloved Jack at the very end.\u00a0 A simple &#8220;hey&#8221; and they were together again.\u00a0 Beautiful and incredibly sad all at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>Mandy Moore is exceptional and deserves all the acting awards.\u00a0\u00a0The way she transitioned from a young 30 something to her dying days.\u00a0 You almost forget it&#8217;s the same actress.<\/p>\n<p>One more episode and then it&#8217;s all over.<\/p>\n<p>Well done.\u00a0 \u00a0 I know I will never be the same.\u00a0 I am grateful for this show and the experience.\u00a0 I have loved laughing and crying with each episode.\u00a0 I have loved each and every character and appreciated every storyline.\u00a0 I love how real it has been.\u00a0 It has tackled so many issues and real life experiences.\u00a0 Relationships, tragedy, family, acceptance and love.\u00a0 With humour, respect and compassion.<\/p>\n<p>I will miss it and will need something else to fill my cup on Tuesdays nights.<\/p>\n<p>For a little bit more BEHIND THE SCENES of the last two episodes &#8211; click <a href=\"https:\/\/en.cultinfos.com\/viral\/3776-this-us-creator-dan-fogelman-breaks-down-emotional-penultimate-episode-its-surprise-twist-cameos-and-teases-series-finale-video-qa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HERE<\/a>.\u00a0 \u00a0The show&#8217;s creator takes you on a journey of the end.\u00a0 It&#8217;s so good.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ask any This Is Us fan how we&#8217;re doing today and the truth is &#8211; we are NOT okay.\u00a0 What a show.\u00a0 What an episode.\u00a0 So well written.
