THIS<\/a> article shares a lot of moments that were so special.<\/p>\nRebecca and Jack reunited.\u00a0 I guess our hearts can be happy with that.\u00a0 Jack telling her she would never be gone from her kids, from her family.\u00a0 Letting us know he never really left and he has been a part of every day, every big moment and every small moment since he died.<\/p>\n
Rebecca’s instructions to her kids in her final days is being lived out.\u00a0 All three are chasing big dreams.\u00a0 Randall possibly running for president of the United States.\u00a0 “I’m doing it for mom.”\u00a0 Rebecca’s words are still with them.\u00a0 \u00a0They still have power.<\/p>\n
We see the powerful force of a mom on her kids.\u00a0 \u00a0How the love, care and compassion can carry into generations.\u00a0 It’s made me look at myself, as a mom.\u00a0 To wonder what my kids will do with the rest of their lives, and how I may have influenced them.\u00a0 Am I a “12” like Rebecca? (smile).\u00a0 Powerful.<\/p>\n
The love of family.\u00a0 \u00a0The influence.\u00a0 \u00a0To see Jack’s brother Nicky come to be such a big part of a family he never knew.\u00a0 Blaming Kevin for “screwing up his life” because he actually changed who he was.\u00a0 He grew to care enough about this family that it was hard to say goodbye.<\/p>\n
Kate and Toby.\u00a0 \u00a0We wanted them to be happy forever.\u00a0 We were crushed when the dream died.\u00a0 But so happy to see them so happy.\u00a0 When Toby told Kate he was proud of her and loved her.\u00a0 Sigh.\u00a0 Beautiful moment.\u00a0 So much love between them.<\/p>\n
And Kate.\u00a0 Oh how we love Kate.\u00a0 We see the family in flashback scenes.\u00a0 Making the most of a rainy day.\u00a0 \u00a0Taking it easy. Playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey.\u00a0 Kate saying “”As Long as I Know Where You Are, I Always Know Where I’m Going”.\u00a0 \u00a0It’s how the Pearson family works.\u00a0 They are always there for each other.\u00a0 No matter what.<\/p>\n
Randall speaking out after losing his mom.\u00a0 Throwing out the comment that everything was pointless.\u00a0 Ouch.\u00a0 I felt that one.\u00a0 When you go through loss it seems so unfair when life goes on.<\/p>\n
Randall’s birth dad – William – reflecting on being a grandpa.\u00a0 Not having enough time with his grandkids.\u00a0 Wondering what they will remember about him.<\/p>\n
It was a beautiful episode.\u00a0 We didn’t get ALL the answers, but we got a sense that it’s done.\u00a0 Life goes on.\u00a0 And the people we love are always with us.\u00a0 Family matters.<\/p>\n
Lots of tears last night and over the years.\u00a0 \u00a0Now to let go of the characters we have loved for so long and find something new to love.\u00a0 It’s going to be hard.\u00a0 This show took us on so many journeys, so much emotion.\u00a0 We could relate to so much of it.<\/p>\n
We’ll remember the words of William as he escorted Rebecca on that final train ride –\u00a0 “If something makes you sad when it ends, it must have been pretty wonderful when it was happening\u201d<\/p>\n
That it was.\u00a0 This Is Us was a wonderful show.\u00a0 Thankful to the cast and crew and to Dan Fogelman for bringing his vision to life.<\/p>\n
One of those shows that will stay in our hearts forever.<\/p>\n
