I get really excited about new music and when an email from Myron of the band Reset to Beautiful crossed my desk,\u00a0 introducing himself to us and dropping a hint of a shared love of Duran Duran, I couldn’t help but be interested.\u00a0 (smile)<\/p>\n
But when I listened to the song – that’s when I got excited.\u00a0 It was upbeat, it had a hook, a great melody, and I loved the references to music from the 80’s and 90’s.\u00a0 Probably more than I caught.\u00a0 Taylor Swift isn’t the only one with the Easter Eggs I guess.\u00a0 (smile)<\/p>\n
We get introduced to a lot of new music every single day and there are some incredibly talented people that don’t often get the chance to be heard, so if I get the chance to talk to someone about the music they make, I’m going to do it. And I’m going to share it.<\/p>\n
It’s been a few weeks of schedule changes, and back and forth emails, trying to fit in day jobs and time differences – but we finally managed to connect.<\/p>\n
It was impossible to get the whole band together at the same time, so I managed to nail down a time with Myron Sinnen, just before he started his day job as a French kindergarten teacher.\u00a0 His students know about his “other” job and parents do too.\u00a0 They have a pretty big cheering section encouraging them in what they do.<\/p>\n
It was great to get to know this independent Canadian band and get an idea of who they are, what they want to do.<\/p>\n
