When I heard about another school shooting yesterday, my heart broke.\u00a0 When I learned it was young kids I cried.<\/p>\n

How do you explain what is happening in our world?\u00a0 How do you make sense of the senseless?\u00a0 How do you understand that kind of violence?<\/p>\n

As I read more about it today, it became more real and more heartbreaking.\u00a0 How can someone intentionally go into a school intending to harm others?\u00a0 Innocent kids.\u00a0 How does someone have that much rage?\u00a0 That much pain.<\/p>\n

My heart breaks for everyone affected by that shooting yesterday.\u00a0 Thoughts and prayers are not enough.\u00a0 They are appreciated, but they don’t help.<\/p>\n

People are hurting and broken and damaged.\u00a0 Something needs to change.<\/p>\n

As a parent I can’t imagine that kind of pain.\u00a0 \u00a0I’ll share this with you<\/a> because as I listened to the voices of those who have lived through this before – I felt I had to.<\/p>\n

Parents – hug your kids.\u00a0 Be kind to others.\u00a0 Be compassionate.<\/p>\n

To those in Nashville – our hearts are broken and we send love your way.\u00a0 You are not alone in this.<\/p>\n
