Spend less than you earn<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: large\">\u00a0When we spend less than we earn, we create the space to save and to give to others.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong><span style=\"font-size: large\">2. Do the math<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: large\">Use what works for you, a spreadsheet, an app, financial software or a pen and paper.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong><span style=\"font-size: large\">3. If you can, don\u2019t do it alone<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: large\">Work it out with your partner or spouse&#8230;\u00a0And if you have kids, bring them into money conversations in age-appropriate ways.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><em><span style=\"font-size: large\">4. Save some off the top<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: large\">Set up an automatic payment\u00a0 to you from\u00a0your chequing account to go into a savings account each payday( YAY me, I do this!)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><em><span style=\"font-size: large\">5.
