In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Tina Turner’s iconic breakthrough album, Private Dancer, Parlophone Records has announced details on a special 40th Anniversary Edition with previously unreleased tracks, live performances, and footage to honour the legacy Tina Turner left with her music.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

Private Dancer (40th Anniversary Edition) will be available as a 5CD\/Blu-ray, 2CD, a 1LP Pearl vinyl, and a 1LP picture disc.<\/p>\n

The 5CD\/Blu-ray set, includes the newly upgraded 55-minute Private Dancer Tour show filmed at the NEC in Birmingham in 1985 featuring unforgettable performances with David Bowie and Bryan Adams.\u00a0 It also includes five upgraded music videos, with the \u201cPrivate Dancer\u201d fully restored to 4K from its original 35mm film.<\/p>\n

Private Dancer was released in May of 1984.\u00a0 It would sell millions of copies and take the top spot on the Billboard charts and would win Tina Turner four Grammy Awards – Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for \u201cBetter Be Good To Me\u201d and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year for the top Billboard Hot 100 track, \u201cWhat\u2019s Love Got To Do With It?\u201d<\/p>\n

The album marked a triumphant comeback for Tina Turner and would become a cultural phenomenon.<\/p>\n

Along with the announcement in celebration of the 40th anniversary – a previously unheard track has been released “Hot For You Baby.”\u00a0 It was orignally intended to be included on Private Dancer.\u00a0 \u00a0It was recorded at Capitol Studios in Hollywood and though they thought it was lost, it brings a new addition to the history of Private Dancer.<\/p>\n
