You guys – have you watched “With Love, Meghan” yet?\u00a0 It’s on Netflix.\u00a0 It just came out last week.\u00a0 I watched the entire season in one night.\u00a0 It was THAT good.<\/p>\n
I couldn’t turn it off and I’m not alone.\u00a0 It just gives you that feel good feeling we all need.\u00a0 So many people are saying “this is the show we never knew we needed”.<\/p>\n
It’s calming.\u00a0 It’s joyful.\u00a0 It’s peaceful.\u00a0 \u00a0It’s the break we need from a world that feels heavy and dark.<\/p>\n
Meghan shares recipes and entertaining tricks.\u00a0 We see her in the garden, harvesting honey, making candles from the beeswax for the very first time.<\/p>\n
Time slows down, the pace is slow and it’s a bit of magic that gives us all a little hope, inspiration, kindness and love.<\/p>\n
She brings in friends and shares different meals.\u00a0 She makes spaghetti in one pot.\u00a0 \u00a0She makes a delicious honey lemon cake that the world is making now.\u00a0 She shares the simplicity of making preserves and donuts, and going the extra mile for people you care about it.\u00a0 With her little touches, her jars and labels and oh so beautiful handwriting.<\/p>\n
She is inspiring people all over the world, including myself.\u00a0 People are making recipes shared on the show and sharing it online and it’s got Meghan’s attention.\u00a0 She is loving the positive effect it’s having on so many people.\u00a0 And it’s true.\u00a0 There’s a whole Meghan movement that is happening.\u00a0 We want to grow gardens and plant flowers and vegetables, and make beautiful veggie trays, and rainbow fruit trays, and sit in the garden and have tea parties.<\/p>\n

“I am so delighted with it! She is a treasure!… some thoughts…\u00a0where the heck do I get those flower sprinkles.\u00a0I want bee hives in my garden.\u00a0I definitely need more Le Creuset in my life.\u00a0There is such joy in simple pleasures.\u00a0Gardens make you happy.”<\/p>\n
“Meghan isn’t supposed to be relatable. If she were, Netflix wouldn’t be making a show about her – she’d be in your group chat venting about parenting teens and late Amazon deliveries. I’m not watching to see myself. I’m watching to escape, gawk, and live vicariously. She’s in a whole different league. Relatability was never the assignment, people.”<\/p>\n
It’s so true.\u00a0 I honestly didn’t expect to like it.\u00a0 I’m not sure I wanted to.\u00a0 But I did.\u00a0 And I’m super excited to see that it’s already been renewed for a second season<\/a>, coming to Netflix this fall.\u00a0 I can’t wait.<\/p>\n As for the inspiration?\u00a0 I made my own croutons last night for our caesar salad.\u00a0 Instead of the usual rush and mad pace over dinner preparations, I slowed down and took my time.\u00a0 If I had flower sprinkles I just might have used them (smile)<\/p>\n Have you watched the show?\u00a0 What did you think?\u00a0 Did you have a favourite recipe?
