{"id":35326,"date":"2025-11-10T11:50:38","date_gmt":"2025-11-10T16:50:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfgxfm\/?p=35326"},"modified":"2025-11-10T11:53:34","modified_gmt":"2025-11-10T16:53:34","slug":"john-candy-i-like-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfgxfm\/blogs\/afternoons\/2025\/11\/john-candy-i-like-me\/","title":{"rendered":"John Candy: I Like Me"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I watched this this weekend and want to encourage you to watch it too.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a glimpse into the life of the man, the legend, John Candy.\u00a0 The one that made so many of us laugh out loud.\u00a0 \u00a0Such a funny man.\u00a0 So many great movies to remember.<\/p>\n<p>What I didn&#8217;t know was the price of fame.\u00a0 The way he was judged by his weight.\u00a0 The cost of wanting people to like you.<\/p>\n<p>It was beautiful to see him on camera, in old interviews.\u00a0 To see how he started.\u00a0 To see how other people who knew him well, viewed him.\u00a0 How much people loved him.\u00a0 But also to see how he was hurting in so many ways.\u00a0 Grieving his dad&#8217;s death from an early age.\u00a0 You see him as a caring and compassionate individual who loved his family.<\/p>\n<p>His death shook the industry and left a void that will never be filled.\u00a0 What a wonderful tribute to such an iconic individual.
