This week has been a tough one.\u00a0 Emotionally.\u00a0 \u00a0As we’ve prepared to say goodbye to our morning show host George Hayes.<\/p>\n
We have been doing all that we can to make this week special for George.\u00a0 We’ve put up with his jokes with less eye rolling and more fake laughter than normal. (smile and I kid)<\/p>\n
Today is the last morning show with George Hayes and we hope to show our appreciation, gratitude and thanks with a special send off celebration at Global Donuts & Deli. We hope to see you there.\u00a0 Please stop by between 6am and 10am.<\/p>\n
It’s been a whirlwind of a week.\u00a0 Lots of reflecting and thinking back on so many years with the Fox team working together.<\/p>\n
We’ve looked back on George’s career – did you know he started in radio by working for FREE at a station in Woodstock?\u00a0 Then on to St. Thomas and Leamington.\u00a0 Working in marketing and sales along the way, until his journey brought him to the Fox morning show.<\/p>\n
Decades of so many incredible memories.\u00a0 Working vacations.\u00a0 Yes, George got to go to Sandals a few times and I may still be a bit upset that some of us were left behind. (smile)<\/p>\n
So many concerts.\u00a0 Community events. World events.\u00a0 A pandemic.<\/p>\n
But along the way, incredible listeners who have shared the journey and made his career memorable.<\/p>\n
A big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share memories, messages and video.\u00a0 It makes it a little easier to say goodbye.<\/p>\n
