What&#8217;s different about this album? Alessia has taken her 12 of her previous songs, and has turned them into jazz and soul-inspired versions of those original songs. Her songwriting blends pop and jazz and weaves lyrical melodies that speak directly to themes of love, self-discovery, and the heartache of growing up. Elysia now lives in LA and is working towards releasing music later this year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGentleman Blue\u201d was inspired by an experience Elysia had on her birthday. \u201cI\u2019ve always worried about getting older, even back when I was 5 or 6 years old,\u201d she shares. \u201cI always feel weird around my birthday but this year, I saw this beautiful older woman dancing like she didn\u2019t have a care in the world, and I was inspired to write a song about incredible, powerful women who have embraced getting older. I wrote about the realization that we are all growing, and embracing the privilege it is to grow.
