GASP.\u00a0 Um, nope.<\/p>\n<p>But I did.<\/p>\n<p>Last night.\u00a0 At the Kineto Theatre in Forest.\u00a0 It&#8217;s not like I&#8217;ve never been there.\u00a0 I grew up in Thedford and went to school in Forest.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve always gone with friends. I&#8217;ve never been brave enough to go alone.<\/p>\n<p>It was a special movie night. They showed the movie Overcomer.\u00a0 I knew I wanted to see it.\u00a0 Everybody seemed to be busy.\u00a0 So I really had no choice. Go alone. Or miss the movie.<\/p>\n<p>My old self would have been too scared to go alone.\u00a0 But for some reason, I wanted to see it badly enough to work through those nerves.<\/p>\n<p>How many things do we avoid doing because we are afraid? Of what people might think. Or being uncomfortable.<\/p>\n<p>Someone asked me today &#8220;Did you REALLY go to a movie by yourself last night? That&#8217;s BRAVE. And awesome&#8221;.\u00a0 And I felt good about my decision.<\/p>\n<p>Yep. I went. And it was awkward at first to be alone.\u00a0 But I actually enjoyed it.<\/p>\n<p>I had the popcorn to myself.\u00a0 Mixed in with some Smarties.\u00a0 New favourite combo.<\/p>\n<p>I got to really just sit and enjoy the movie.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t believe anybody pointed and laughed.
