When you ask your kids what they want for Christmas &#8211; ask them to list these five things.<\/p>\n<p>Want.\u00a0\u00a0Something they really want. This could even be the one they write their letter to Santa about.<\/p>\n<p>Need.\u00a0 Socks. PJ&#8217;s.\u00a0 School supplies.<\/p>\n<p>Read.\u00a0 A new book.<\/p>\n<p>Experience.<\/p>\n<p>Give.\u00a0 The magic one. The one that changes how you see the holidays.\u00a0 Ask your kids who they would like to GIVE to this year.\u00a0 Different than a family member or friend.\u00a0 Maybe it&#8217;s the Inn of the Good Shepherd.\u00a0 Maybe it&#8217;s another charity of choice.\u00a0 Maybe you could adopt a family from the Inn of the Good Shepherd.\u00a0 Once you think about different ways you can give back, it changes how you see the holidays.
