<\/p>\nIt’s an interesting question don’t you think?<\/p>\n
What do you want for yourself for the year ahead?\u00a0 What are your goals?\u00a0 Your dreams?\u00a0 What are you wanting\/ hoping to accomplish?<\/p>\n
My sixteen year old has been really busy planning her future. She is picking out colleges\/ universities and trying to figure out what she wants to do with the rest of her life.\u00a0 \u00a0She wants to be a teacher.\u00a0 And she wants five kids.\u00a0 She even has names picked out.\u00a0 I love that she is spending the time thinking about it, because I sure didn’t know what I wanted to do with the rest of my life at sixteen.\u00a0 When it came to high school graduation, I closed my eyes and picked three college courses I MIGHT be interested in pursuing. There wasn’t a lot of thought put into it. I didn’t research careers.\u00a0 I went with what I thought I should.\u00a0 Radio was just a bonus option.\u00a0 I never expected it would work for me.<\/p>\n
Do you think we ever are satisfied with the answer to that question?\u00a0 Do you know what you want to be\/ do\/ experience?\u00a0 Is it ever to late to stop asking?<\/p>\n
Because I don’t think so.\u00a0 I think we need to constantly be asking what we want.\u00a0 What our goals\/ hopes\/ wishes and dreams are.<\/p>\n
A few years ago, I went to a Vision Board workshop for the very first time, not having any idea or expectation what it would be about.<\/p>\n
I didn’t believe I had anything in mind.\u00a0 Goals, dreams?\u00a0 Not really sure.\u00a0 Life is pretty good already.<\/p>\n
But as soon as we sat down and started looking through the magazines – images, pictures, words, quotes – all started to pop out among the rest.<\/p>\n
Believe. In myself. In my faith.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Words.<\/p>\n
Dance.<\/p>\n
I started to see a picture of what I really truly wanted for myself and it was pretty cool to realize that even though you might think you aren’t dreaming of something, or wanting something more, deep down you really do.<\/p>\n
I keep my vision board on a wall in my scrapbook room to remind me of what I want and am dreaming of.<\/p>\n
Some of those goals\/ dreams have come true.<\/p>\n

2019 was a pretty fantastic year. I did Sarnia’s Dancing With The Stars and danced two dances I never thought I could do, in front of a few hundred people.<\/p>\n
I took a trip back to my old house, where I grew up in Thedford.\u00a0 The last house I lived in with my family before my mom, brother and sister were killed in a car accident.\u00a0 It was bittersweet for sure.<\/p>\n
I started a personal blog online to share with the world.\u00a0 Terrifying but exciting and rewarding at the same time.<\/p>\n
I grew in my faith.\u00a0 I grew out my grey hair.\u00a0 I watched as my oldest daughter went for her drivers license, and fell in love for the first time.<\/p>\n
I’m not sure how to top 2019, but I’m interested to see what happens with a new vision board.<\/p>\n
