No one could think the Morgan kids were unkempt.<\/p>\n<p>Because of my heritage, getting your &#8220;Hair DONE&#8221; in the morning wasn&#8217;t as simple as running a comb or brush through it; it took time &amp; plaits. My Mom would actually do our hair the night before, so school prep wasn&#8217;t chaos in the morning.\u00a0 If Dad was on deck because Mom was away at night school, it was a simpler version of what she did, but it was still no hair out of place. You might not understand until you watch &#8220;Hair Love&#8221;; it won the\u00a0Best Animated Short Film At 2020 Oscars.<\/p>\n<p>On a side note: I never minded when babies wanted to gnaw on my dreds&#8230;.they were innocent and didn&#8217;t know better. And it was a comfort to them. My hair is My Crown.
