{"id":8028,"date":"2020-02-21T16:44:34","date_gmt":"2020-02-21T21:44:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfgxfm\/?p=8028"},"modified":"2020-02-21T16:46:56","modified_gmt":"2020-02-21T21:46:56","slug":"this-is-why-i-need-help","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfgxfm\/blogs\/afternoons\/2020\/02\/this-is-why-i-need-help\/","title":{"rendered":"This Is Why I Need Help"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I love plants.\u00a0 They make me happy.\u00a0 But I seem to lack the very important skill required in keeping them alive.<\/p>\n<p>True story.<\/p>\n<p>I love gardening.\u00a0 It&#8217;s one of my favourite things to do.\u00a0 Outdoors, I can do quite well.\u00a0 Indoors &#8211; my poor plants are suffering.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know if it&#8217;s the water\/lack of water\/ soil\/ drainage\/ sunshine\/ lack of sunshine. Maybe I just don&#8217;t talk to them enough.\u00a0 Is that even a thing?<\/p>\n<p>I know that having plants around you are very beneficial.<\/p>\n<h5>Studies have shown indoor plants:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Boost mood, productivity, concentration and creativity<\/li>\n<li>Reduce stress, fatigue, sore throats and colds<\/li>\n<li>Clean indoor air by absorbing toxins, increasing humidity and producing oxygen<\/li>\n<li>Add life to a sterile office, give privacy and reduce noise levels<\/li>\n<li>Are therapeutic and cheaper than a therapist<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That&#8217;s why I am so thankful for the chance to learn new things.\u00a0 On Saturday I will be headed to Sipkens to learn about plant propagation.\u00a0 Growing new plants from baby plants.\u00a0 Starting over with a new plant family.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m looking forward to learning the how&#8217;s of proper plant care and going home with a new family of baby plants.<\/p>\n<p>I hate killing plants.\u00a0 It makes me feel bad every time I do it.\u00a0\u00a0My brother in law gave us a plant that was given to him by his late parents.
