I’m there with you.\u00a0 I’m feeling it.\u00a0 The stress.\u00a0 The tension.\u00a0 The fear.\u00a0 The anxiety.<\/p>\n
I feel it.\u00a0 I’m with you.<\/p>\n
The sun is out and it looks like a beautiful day.\u00a0 Yet, the world is changing.\u00a0 Covid-19 is changing how we live. Seems so strange.<\/p>\n
The unknown is scary.<\/p>\n
We are living in uncharted territory.<\/p>\n
The best thing to do is the simplest.<\/p>\n
Take care of yourself.\u00a0 Wash your hands.\u00a0 A lot.\u00a0 With soap and water for at least 20 seconds.\u00a0 Stay home if you can.<\/p>\n
Our workplace has people who can, working from home where possible. We are changing and adapting.<\/p>\n
Our jobs as announcers is to keep you informed, and to hopefully distract you from all the rest of it.\u00a0 To bring a smile to your face.\u00a0 To remind you that we are in this together and it will all be okay.<\/p>\n
I have to say, that even as people were shopping this weekend, looking for toilet paper,\u00a0 buying a few extras to get them through this period of uncertainty, almost everyone I came across was smiling.\u00a0 \u00a0I watched as people shopped with their lists, being careful with what they bought. I listened to conversations about what was happening.\u00a0 People surprised by the situation. Concerned, but still in good spirits.<\/p>\n
Generally, people seemed to be doing okay.<\/p>\n
Cashiers were working hard these past few days.\u00a0 Lots of people flocking to the stores.<\/p>\n
We’ve been told that grocery stores WILL stay open and there is no shortage of food.\u00a0 No need to panic buy or hoard the supplies.<\/p>\n
And please, keep in mind, the food banks will continue to need our help.\u00a0 Give what you can and help our community.<\/p>\n
