{"id":8975,"date":"2020-05-01T16:51:38","date_gmt":"2020-05-01T20:51:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfgxfm\/?p=8975"},"modified":"2020-05-01T17:10:34","modified_gmt":"2020-05-01T21:10:34","slug":"for-those-that-missed-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfgxfm\/blogs\/afternoons\/2020\/05\/for-those-that-missed-it\/","title":{"rendered":"For Those That Missed It"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday, the cast of Parks and Recreation reunited for one very special scripted episode in an effort to raise money for Feeding America\u2019s COVID-19 Response Fund.<\/p>\n<p>A reunion special that brought together our much loved, much missed, cast of a show that brought so many laughs.\u00a0 \u00a0Leslie Knope, Ron Swanson and the rest of the Pawnee cree doing what the rest of us are doing as we self isolate\u2014catching up over video chat.<\/p>\n<p>The episode takes place over a series of Gryzzl calls\u2014Pawnee&#8217;s version of Zoom or Skype\u2014with the characters checking in on each other while they&#8217;re separated.<\/p>\n<p>At the end, Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) takes over, to make sure Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) is being taken care of too, and it&#8217;s not always her checking in on them.<\/p>\n<p>And as a surprise, he gets everybody to sing Andy Dwyer&#8217;s (Chris Pratt) fan-favorite L&#8217;il Sebastian tribute song &#8216;5,000 Candles in the Wind.<\/p>\n<p>And it&#8217;s as amazing as you would expect.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;bye, bye, L&#8217;il Sebastian&#8221;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;\u00a0 you&#8217;ll be singing it all night.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bwYth4JZP3s\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"On Thursday, the cast of Parks and Recreation reunited for one very special scripted episode in an effort to raise money for Feeding America\u2019s COVID-19 Response Fund.
