And a lot of nostalgia.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a reason so many people are baking, and going back to recipes that make you feel good and remember good times.\u00a0 Banana bread &#8220;just like gramma used to make&#8221;\u00a0 or that old chili recipe mom made.\u00a0 It&#8217;s called &#8220;comfort food&#8221; for a reason.<\/p>\n<p>We are reaching back to what made us feel good.\u00a0 For some of us, that is going back to childhood.\u00a0 It&#8217;s why I&#8217;m going back to Jello, and tea biscuits, and old music and tv shows.<\/p>\n<p>My daughter was excited to have me watch Disney Singalong Two with her last night (it came out on Disney Plus on Sunday!).<\/p>\n<p>There is something about Disney that reminds me of Sunday nights in our house.\u00a0 It was how we ended the weekend.\u00a0 \u00a0We had dinner as a family and then we gathered around to watch The Wonderful World of Disney &#8211; Disney Sunday Family Movie Night.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yzj9vlWRUIw\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>So when we sat down to watch Disney Singalong, and Kermit the Frog started the show, singing the opening number of the Muppets Show.\u00a0 &#8220;It&#8217;s time to play the music. It&#8217;s time to light the lights&#8230;..&#8221;\u00a0 I couldn&#8217;t look away.<\/p>\n<p>Kermit invited Seth Rogan into the show, and the two started singing the theme song, and before you knew it &#8211; some big stars were on a screen (which we look at in Zoom a LOT these days) and I was transported back to childhood.\u00a0 Was it Friday nights?\u00a0 Watching the Muppet Show.\u00a0 Kermit. Miss Piggy. Gonzo.\u00a0 \u00a0The Muppet Show was a variety show, featuring different sketches and musical numbers mixed in with the ongoing behind the scenes of putting the show together.\u00a0 Always a celebrity appearance.\u00a0 The show was so fun to watch.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hEinCgoA48E\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Watch it.\u00a0 Disney Family Singalong if you can.\u00a0 Scroll down for a few of the shows performances.<\/p>\n<p>My husband is a bit concerned because I&#8217;ve started trying to grow things.\u00a0 Like celery.\u00a0 And romaine lettuce.\u00a0 And peppers from seeds.\u00a0 It seems to be working.\u00a0 I&#8217;m feeling pretty proud of myself. And surprised that I haven&#8217;t killed them.\u00a0 Not sure what to do with them past this point.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re feeling adventurous &#8211; click <a href=\"https:\/\/gardenerspath.com\/plants\/vegetables\/successful-lettuce-patch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HERE<\/a> to learn more about how to grow your own lettuce and other veggies.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-9088\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.briwebapp.net\/2020\/05\/3375b6ee-veggies-growing.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"521\" height=\"695\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Anybody else surprised at what they suddenly have that free time to do?\u00a0 I can&#8217;t finish what I SWEAR is a broken jigsaw puzzle.\u00a0 But I can try to grow red peppers from seed from a post I saw online?<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m talking to my house plants in the hopes of keeping them alive.\u00a0 I haven&#8217;t given them names yet, but I&#8217;m close.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve also actually started scrapbooking.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve been really good at printing off hundreds of pictures at a time and sticking them in a photo box or envelope. I&#8217;ve been good at buying stickers for the scrapbook album I&#8217;m &#8220;going to get to someday&#8221;.\u00a0 I&#8217;m finally getting to some.\u00a0 Which I&#8217;m excited about.<\/p>\n<p>For a long time I was afraid to use the pictures in case I &#8220;screw them up&#8221;.\u00a0 But now I&#8217;m just going for it.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve started with a collection of all the concerts I&#8217;ve been too, and artists I&#8217;ve been lucky enough to have met and interviewed in my radio career.\u00a0 Not only do I feel incredibly lucky, but also really old.
