High School musicals are one of those things that remind you when you go, of how GOOD they really turn out to be.
Having been hatched and raised in London, I was fortunate enough to be a part of Oakridge Secondary School’s lineup of theater productions under the direction of the legendary Art Fidler. The Wiz was the one I hopped on board for, with stage sets and projection lighting in the tens of thousands of dollars – Oakridge went big. My sister took the lead Maria in West Side Story, and Jesus Christ Superstar – these were actually pretty huge and upped the expectations of what to expect from a high school production.
And then you’ve got that one high school who just put on a stage production of ALIEN.
Seriously – I was tempted to take a road trip. Like, who DOES that?
Needless to say…Next year…ALIENS?
C’mon! We’re dying for a sequel!
