Blake Shelton Says Latest Album Was An “Easy Record”
December 27, 2019 5:30 amBlake Shelton’s new album, Fully Loaded: God’s Country, was released on Friday, December 13th and as he said it was probably the easiest collection of songs he’s ever assembled.
“This was one of the easiest albums I ever put together because half of it is basically a greatest hits and the there’s about maybe three songs I would consider new at this point since ‘God’s Country’ and ‘Hell Right’ were the most recent singles. That really only leaves ‘Jesus Got A Tight Grip On My Soul’ and ‘Nobody But You’ as new tracks, and then, of course, a cover of ‘Tequila Sheila’ which is my favourite Bobby Bare song, and so this is an easy record for me to make. It was half made when we decided to put it together.”
The 12-song collection features seven hits from previous albums and a total of five new tracks, including a duet with Gwen Stefani.
Blake sits in the Top 20 on country radio with his latest single, “Hell Right,” featuring Trace Adkins.
