Country Special To Replace ACM Awards On CBS
March 20, 2020 5:13 amThe ACM Awards are postponed until this fall, but the Academy of Country Music will fill that previously scheduled Awards broadcast slot on CBS with a two-hour special called ACM Presents: Our Country.
The show will air on Sunday, April 5th from 8-10 p.m. and will feature intimate conversations and at-home acoustic performances with Country music’s top artists along with clips of their favourite moments from the Academy of Country Music Awards’ 55-year history.
Artists confirmed to participate will be announced in the coming weeks.
Artists will appear from their homes via video chat to share some heartfelt thoughts and perform acoustic versions of Country hits.
Video clips from previous ACM Award broadcasts will also take viewers down memory lane to reminisce about some favourite ACM moments.
The ACM Awards, hosted by Keith Urban, are set to take place in September, although no date or location has yet been announced.
