Garth Brooks Teases New Song
June 20, 2020 7:00 amGarth Brooks is teasing new music with some help from his friend and ABC’s Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts.
Last week, Garth appeared on the show via video and when he was asked about new music, Garth offered to send Robin a song over the weekend, giving her full authority to share it or keep it to herself.
She opted to share the song, called “We Belong To Each Other” on her social media platforms on Monday, June 15th.
Garth explains that the song is his response to the current state of the world.
“People have been asking, you know, Are we going to comment on the current situations going on, and, for me, it’s always just been the music. So, when it’s time to say something, I think I’ll put a guitar to it, and it’ll be something that sounds like, [sings] ‘We belong to each other / We’re all sister and brothers / Born to love one another.’ That’s the kind of message that I want to put out right now.”
It’s logical to assume “We Belong To Each Other” will be included on Garth’s upcoming studio album, FUN!. He has yet to announce an official release date.
