Cody Johnson Throws Out First Pitch At Texas Rangers Game
May 2, 2024 8:15 amCody Johnson got to throw out the first pitch at a Texas Rangers game.
Before the game, he told reporters that the team asked him if he would rather throw out the first pitch, or sing the National Anthem.
Cody had never done a first pitch before, so he went with that and fired a STRIKE.
He did it from the mound too, not closer up on the grass.

Cody also got to take batting practice with the team and did all of this in his cowboy hat and jeans.

He said it was a fun experience because he’s a huge fan of ALL Texas teams. He’s originally from Sebastopol, about 90 miles north of Houston.
It was also a work trip though. Cody will be back in a few months for a show at Globe Life Field on November 9th.
