Jelly Roll Steps In After Morgan Wallen Cancels Shows
July 15, 2024 5:55 amMorgan Wallen cancelled his concert in Tampa just a couple of hours before it was set to start on Friday, July 12, and a lot of people were pretty angry about it.
Morgan said that he powered through the previous night’s show and woke up feeling, quote, “way worse.”

This is not the first time this has happened.
Last year at Ole Miss he cancelled his show AFTER the opening acts had already played.
Jelly Roll did his best to save the day.
Since he was opening for Morgan, Jelly offered up a FREE show for anyone with tickets to the cancelled show. It was at a smaller venue, but he did the best he could do.
And when he got onstage, Jelly defended Morgan. He said,
“My friend is sick as [crap], y’all. I told him don’t do the show LAST night. I told him. I’m glad he took the day to rest his body.”

Morgan didn’t just cancel the Tampa show, he also cancelled next week’s shows in Charlotte — both had been rescheduled for October.
