Kip Moore Calls Out Oliver Anthony

Oliver Anthony ripped into the Nashville machine in a video last month, saying songwriters only care about the money these days, not the music.

But Kip Moore disagrees, and didn’t hold back in a new interview, calling Oliver’s video a “clown show.”

He said, sure, maybe the standards have slipped over the years, and some people aren’t focused on the “craft” as much as they used to be, but then listed a bunch of songwriters he said could “write circles” around Oliver.

Kip added that they deserve to get paid because they’re talented, and they’ve “dedicated their whole life” to honing those skills.
