Jelly Roll Floored When “American Idol” Contestant Sings “Liar”
April 17, 2025 8:30 amJelly Roll is the first-ever artist in residence at “American Idol” and he’s been a great influence on the singers already.
But one contestant, named Jamal Roberts, totally floored Jelly when he sang his song “Liar” at the Top 24 performances.
Jelly was in the audience and was loving every minute of it.
“I would feel disrespectful to call this my song at this moment. It is now Jamal’s song.”
Judges Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan also had nothing but good things to say about Jamal’s performance.
