Alan Jackson Is Officially Retiring
May 21, 2025 10:30 amThis past weekend in Milwaukee, Alan Jackson closed out the final stop on his Last Call: One More for the Road Tour with a big announcement… he is officially retiring from touring.
“Y’all may have heard that I’m kinda winding down, and in fact this is my last road show of my career. Y’all gonna make me tear up out here. But I will say, this is my last road show out here, but we’re planning on doing a big finale show in Nashville . . . It just felt like I had to end it all where it all started. And that’s in Nashville, Tennessee. Music City.”
The crowd then gave him a standing ovation.
He also reflected on his long career.
“It started 40 years ago this September, my wife and I drove to Nashville in an old U-Haul trailer and chased this dream . . . It’s been a crazy ride. I lived the American dream for sure, and I’m so blessed and thank y’all all so much for your support for the music.”
Here are some of Alan’s accomplishments: He’s one of the best-selling music artists of all-time, with 35 #1 hits on the Billboard Hot Country chart, he’s won two Grammys, 16 CMAs, and 17 ACMs, and he’s a member of the Grand Ole Opry, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
What a legendary career. End of an era, for sure. At least we get one more Nashville show to send him off in style. It’s in the works for next summer.
