Carly Pearce Says Her Songs Are “Cautionary Tales”

Carly Pearce has had several songs that either in a fun or serious way call out the bad behavior of guys, or act as a cautionary tale for other women about the kind of guys to avoid.

That includes “What He Didn’t Do,” “Next Girl,” or her latest song, “Truck on Fire.”

Carly says those songs are kind of her way of being a girl’s girl and maybe helping other women learn from her mistakes without having to make them on their own.

“Yeah, I kind of feel this responsibility of taking care of the girls and warning the girls about what I’ve learned, and maybe it can keep one of them from making the stupid mistakes that I have.”
