The Emmy’s 2021: The Award For Longest Speech…

Last night’s Emmys lasted for more than three hours!
And a big part of the reason for that was the guy who WOULDN’T SHUT UP.
His name is Scott Frank.  He won an award for directing
“The Queen’s Gambit”. . . and once he stepped up to the mic,
he pulled out a TWO-PAGE SPEECH and preceded to drone on for THREE AND A HALF MINUTES.

Seriously, this wasn’t a list, it was an ESSAY.  It was so long, they hit him with the wrap-it-up music THREE TIMES.
The first time, he got OFFENDED.  The second time he said, “I’m almost done” . . . but it took him more than a minute to finish.

As for the actual awards, “The Crown” won seven last night . . . and a total of 11 when you count the previously-announced wins.  “Ted Lasso” won seven.
