The Web Commandments?<\/p>\n

Thou shalt not drunk-text, Leave thy emojis out work-related emails.
\nThine chain emails are getting to be a bit…..<\/p>\n

As we move forward into the digital age, where texts, facebook messages
\nemojis and twitter are becoming more and more a frequent way to communicate,
\nperhaps it’s time to lay down a few ground rules.
\nOkay, maybe not RULES, but rather, a light brush on\u00a0smartphone\u00a0etiquette.<\/p>\n

The “rules” are part of an Oxford study and are more like suggestions <\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span>on how
\nto avoid becoming the ever-tiresome and duly loathed “THAT PERSON” on social media.<\/p>\n

Among them:
\n– Don’t wish close friends a happy birthday on Facebook.\u00a0 Call or text them.
\n– Never use a text message to dump someone.
\n–\u00a0Don\u2019t look through your partner\u2019s phone, \u00a0and
\n–\u00a0Don\u2019t post to social media when emotional.<\/p>\n

Sounds reasonable.
\n–\u00a0Don\u2019t \u2018reply all\u2019 to a group message by accident (that’s happened at work a few times hasn’t it.)
\n–\u00a0Don’t use emojis in text messages or emails that are work related, and
\n– Never send a text when you’re drunk.<\/p>\n

Not included, but for the older generation, our folks who still use the internet like it’s 1997,
\nEnough with the FWD mails!<\/p>\n
