EXAM\u00a0week can be the most stressful time\u00a0in the school year\u00a0for a student, whether it’s high school, college, university or beyond. …so moms and dads, if you want to help them ace their exams,\u00a0 remind them of these tips…<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Create your own study guide.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

While many teachers provide a study guide, creating your own can help you understand the material better.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

2. Ask questions.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Your teachers are there to help! Ask them questions regarding the material and the exam so that you\u2019re prepared for the exam.. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Go to\u00a0the review session.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Review sessions\u00a0 can give up\u00a0important info\u00a0on the exam format, what’s going to be\u00a0on the exam and more<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

4. Start early.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

If you always start ahead of schedule, you\u2019ll never be cramming the night before an exam.\u00a0And it’s\u00a0almost always a better outcome!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

5. Organize a group study session.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Studying with peers can really help…<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

6. Study things not on the study guide.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

7. Take breaks.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

You can’t memorize or\u00a0understand all the material at once. Balance & break times to recharge and relax.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

8. Stay well-rested.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Get a good nights sleep….\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

9. Create a study schedule – and follow it.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Then you can keep track of what you\u2019ve accomplished instead of\u00a0 getting overwhelmed.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Learning by teaching really works! If you have a study buddy and explain concepts to one another, you’re actually\u00a0re-learning the material all over again.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s easier to focus if you adapt to studying by quizzing yourself, creating acronyms or rewarding yourself for a job well done. Create a game plan – literally – that allows you to accomplish tasks and be rewarded for each. …Reward yourself with a candy, \u00a0piece of chocolate or\u00a0 a warm tea, after you’ve accomplished a new chapter or allow yourself\u00a0 some free time for every chapter you get through…<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
